Help Us To Save Money & Grow The Academy

We are reaching out to our members - past and present - to ask if you would please take a moment to check your archery gear, and see if there are any borrowed items that you may have forgotten about. We can all be forgetful, so PLEASE don't feel bad. You will receive a hearty thank you and a smile. We have been a little loosey goosey, and we just need to tighten things up.

As many of you know, we are glad to loan out equipment, and it helps us tremendously when it is returned so that someone else can make use of the item, too. Moving forward we will keep a written log and all borrowed items will be checked out and signed for.

Items to look out for:

  • Books
  • Arrows
  • Limbs
  • Finger tabs
  • Arm guards
  • Finger slings
  • Weights
  • Stabilizers
  • Tools - wrenches, bow squares, screw drivers etc.

Also, please consider that every nock, point, piece of serving, d-loop etc., costs us time and money. We have been glad to give and support our archers, but the time has come for us to be all grown up and operate like a "real business", which is what we have to be to keep the doors open.

We are close to having the Academy established as a non-profit, which means that we will be able to solicit grants for academy gear, certify more instructors, and potentially funds to assist our athletes with their training and travel plans. This also means that donations to the academy will be tax deductible.

We sure appreciate our archery family. For being here, for supporting us, and rolling with the punches as we grow this thing.

Yours, in archery,

Lynda LeCompte
