Dear (archer),

We truly hope that each of you are safe after hurricane Harvey. We have an amazing comminity of archers around us, many of whom have helped me personally as my home flooded and had to be gutted. There will be needs in the community for a long time, and our archery family has proven to be an amazing support system. So, please, if there are any unmet needs, let me know. We may be able to help you.

Another way that X10 Archery would like to help those affected is by offering respite in these trying times. We are offering free range time, including equipment use and an orientation to those who have been impacted by flooding or are volunteering in some disater relief capacity. We have vouchers to give to these folk. If you know someone who would benefit, please pick up some vouchers at the store. We want to make sure they get into the hands of people who really need some respite and will appreciate the time. We will be offering this free range time at 3pm every Saturday in September.

Podiums and Olympian Pins

We will be one of a handful of JOAD clubs involved in the development of the JOAD Excellence Program with USA Archery. I have a questionnaire to complete that includes numbers of Olympian pins and State / National podiums within our club. Please respond to this email listing any of those. We do have records, but I want to make sure nothing is missed.

Saturday Indoor JOAD

Saturday morning JOAD started this past weekend. It was a little quiet - understandably - but we do anticipate the numbers coming back up. We look forward to seeing everyone there at 10:00 am and / or on Thursdays nights at 6:00 pm. The store will usually be open from around 9:30 am on Saturdays. Please allow enough time to set up to start official practice at 10:00.

HOT 'n' Cold

It is very unlikely that we will be starting the HnC series per the schedule as Buffalo is under several feet of water... again. We will advise as and when possible.

That's it! We are so looking forward to getting back to some kind of normal. Our thoughts and prayers are with everyone who has suffered through Harvey. We are all Houston strong and Texas strong... that includes this honorary Texan. :)

Blessings to all!
